BIOGRAPHY:

Leo and Harriet Martin loved to travel and they circulated the globe visiting cities and countries on every continent and meeting new and interesting people.

Leo was born in Fresno, CA on September 22, 1915. He was a graduate of the University of California-Davis, and became a high school teacher and later a college agriculture teacher. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army in California as an instructor. He then graduated from UCLA with a PhD in Education and served as the Dean of Admissions and Records at the El Camino Community College in Gardena CA for 27 year, before retiring in 1980.

Harriet was born in Imperial, CA, on May 26, 1916. She graduated from UCLA in 1939 to become a home economics teacher. After moving to Las Cruces, NM, to join their daughter's family, Harriet became an active member of the Las Cruces Floral Design Guild and Desert Daubers Garden Club, frequently winning awards at the Southern NM State Fair.

Harriet died on May 25, 2005, at the age of 88. Leo passed on March 26, 2011, at the age of 95.
